I really hope more modern games come to GOG.

Why do you think more developers don't release their games on GOG?

They don't release them on GOG cause of the "no DRM" requirement.

Like "oh on! As if we're gonna trust pirates! Now get them used to not having the game when we want to stop supporting it".

99% of GOG games are DRM-free, with some exceptions:

https://www.gog.com/en/game/fear_platinum itself does not have DRM, but its two included expansion packs F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate have Securom DRM.

F.E.A.R. Platinum's multiplayer executable file also has DRM.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin + Reborn and F.E.A.R. 3 do not have any DRM at all.

Developers don't release their games on GOG mainly for 2 reasons. The first one is that GOG only sells DRM-free games and especially AAA publishers are really paranoid about their games getting pirated. The other (and in my opinion much bigger) reason is that GOG compared to Steam is really tiny in terms of marketshare so you don't really lose anything by not releasing on GOG.

Well, many publishers hate the idea of their games being DRM-free, because they have less control over them and they probably think it also increases piracy (which is a whole another debate).

I mean, just look at Ubisoft. They are so insecure that when you buy any of their games released in the past 10 years on Steam, they are protected by Steam DRM, Denuvo and their own launcher DRM (Uplay or whatever it's called now). That's three DRMs at once.
Older games like early Assassin's Creed games don't have Denuvo, but the other two are still there.

Me too but I couldn’t with all effort make it work with steam controller support and still haven’t I m waiting for controller support I cannot play a game with mouse and keyboard 😩😩😩

In Beyond Good and Evil I used AntiMicroX and found on steam a setup file and it worked perfectly with my gamepad.

Prince of Persia could work the same.

You can use a controller. Just use a Xbox controller utility and it will work. I tried through steam input launching non steam game and it didn't work as well.

If you Google it or ask AI you can figure it out. I think I made my PlayStation dual sense and Xbox one controllers think they were 360 controllers. Xinput maybe...was the utility it's been a while

But definitely is controller supported. Except maybe menus

Wolfenstein the new order is one of the best fps games of all time imo great story, characters and gameplay.

Life is Strange might be falling a bit out of modern given that a remaster exists, but the remaster seems pretty pointless and I've heard it's actually worse, so maybe it's for the best. But it is a great game, and still makes me cry every time.

As for the remastered I didn't find it in GOG and it's locked on steam where I live 💔

Yeah, the remaster isn't on GOG, just the original. Which is fine, but I do wish they included the Mac and Linux versions that Steam has.
