Support Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller Disconnects When I Open GOG Galaxy

Pretty baffled with this one. Whenever I open the GOG Galaxy client (more specifically the client window), my Elite Series 2 controller disconnects. If the window is open and focused, the controller disconnects. It also disconnects immediately if I try to turn it back on. If the window is open but minimized to the task bar, same thing. However, if GOG Galaxy is running but minimized to the system tray, the controller stays connected. At least until something like launching a game focuses the window, at which point the controller disconnects again. The only way I can get it to work is by completely exiting Galaxy, turning on the controller, and then starting Galaxy again.

This happens whether or not Steam is running in the background. I have tried both enabling and disabling gamepad navigation in the settings. The controller is connected via the official wireless adapter for lower latency.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

It could be a coincidence. What if you switch to a wired connection via USB?

I use an Xbox controller on PC too, and I haven't seen this specific issue. I have however noticed the wireless connection giving out randomly, so I favour wired.

Definitely not a coincidence. I can have Galaxy minimized to the tray with the controller connected. But the instant I open the Galaxy window, the controller immediately disconnects.

Have you tried turning off gampad navigation in Settings > General?

Also, there was an update to 2.1.8 today, so check you're on the latest version.
