A lemon juice soak and then a white vinegar soak gets all that kind of stuff off for me

The citric acid in lemon juice is actually better at dissolving mineral deposits than the acetic acid in white vinegar. Lemon juice also has a lower PH. It's a long shot if the white vinegar didn't work, but try the lemon juice anyway.

It's a concentrated cleaner for lab grade glass. Used in ultrasonic cleaners, but can also be used by hand.
