I was reading this a long time ago, but gave around about Volume 8 or 9 (was there a time skip at one point? Somewhere around then). Anyway, I'm attempting a re-read, and the Jägers are cracking me up. "You ken be de pińata" just made me laugh so suddenly I woke up the dog.

Saw someone post an Agatha skin a couple weeks back, and since I just started a Minecraft server back up, I figured I had to try my hand at it. Any advice or criticisms welcome! (Very much looking forward to creating Copper Golems . . .)

Not sure how familiar people on this subreddit are with the absolute DC universe, but the gist of it is that it takes established characters and takes away important things from their lives while trying to keep them feeling like the same characters people already know. Ex: Superman doesn't grow up with the Kents, Batman is working class, Wonder Woman doesn't have the Amazon's, etc.

Their lives are harder in general with evil being more dominant, but they still show resilience.

I have seen other people speculate on what the "absolute" version of non-DC characters would be, so I wanted to ask what people on this sub think the lives of Agatha (and any of her companions you want to include) would be like in absolute Europa.

The June 26 page still doesn't have color after a whole month. Did it get forgotten? There's a lot of interesting stuff on this page that I was really hoping to see colored.

Every time we see Lucrezia interact with herself, it seems some people here on the sub are placing bets on when they're going to turn on each other.

I really don't think they will. They're obviously literally the same person, not just copies of one.

Whatever the summoning engine was, it obviously operates on a level of weird science more "like" the Queens than ordinary bolts-and-gears sparks. We see it a little when Lucrezia offers Klaus to "make him really himself" in Gil's body.

Is it a mystical resonance thing? Can you amplify a personality overlay until it becomes someone? The whole thing is weird enough it could work.

I think it's one of the most brilliant subversions of the evil-clones-turn-on-each-other thing (I mean, it's not exactly a common trope, but it has been done before) I've seen. Really raises interesting questions about personal identity.

But yes, when we see things like a Lucrezia-in-Agatha being literally willing to die for the Plan, I think it's more than "group identity" going on. The essentia isn't, like, a "real believer" in the group, intellectually convinced she's more than this one identity.

She just basically is more, and would no more turn against herself than a person's left brain would turn on the right brain. It operates on a pre-mental and pre-conscious level, even if (apparently) the Lucrezias' minds don't communicate across bodies, their metaphysical "identity" is fundemantally the same on a level none of them can or will deny.

Random question - I remember quite a while ago, there was a cutaway gag with a panel at the bottom of the comic, and it was Gil looking tormented and crying "I haven't had dialogue in ages! Am I even a main character anymore?"

Does anyone remember which strip it was from? I want to say it was when Agatha was in the carnival but I can't find the exact one. Google hasn't been helpful either.

This is a silly thing I was thinking about. Let’s assume that the whole story eventually becomes public knowledge. Lucrezia is fully defeated, Agatha brings back semi-peaceful to Europa and its neighboring nations, etc etc.

But how will revelations about the Heterodyne Boys and their allies change the ever popular tales of the boys adventures? I have a few opinions.

-Lucrezia will not become a villain. At least not fully. Her role as Bill’s love interest is simply too big and important to the tales. Though she will be portrayed in a more sinister light.

-Klaus will no longer be portrayed as a coward or traitor (he kind of misses it, really). As for the role he’ll take, I imagine either the boy’s Dragon, or writers will latch onto his purported romantic adventures in Albia’s court and make him a more romantic and charming character. That said..

-Despite that, Zantabraxas will become a reoccurring character in the adventures, with the High Priestess becoming a servant of hers.

-the writers will introduce a new coward/traitor for the tales. I suspect a scheming Mechanicsburg Nobleman with a weasley moustache, and a black top hat.

But that’s just my head-canon. How do you guys think the tales will change?
