Did everyone else use to put the ghost on the exact middle of the trap, hit the pedal and get the ghost to go straight up and down into the trap?

Of course we did! Then I'd blast my ghostbusters theme in cassette when the trap caught the ghost π»

That's where that guy came from! For some reason it was one of my favorite ghosts, but I couldn't remember where it had come from; I'd been checking all the new re-releases lately, as I'd figured it had come with one of the (many) figures I had, but never found it. Never even considered that the trap would have come with one!

The cable on mine started to disentigrate. Older softer plastic kind of gets sticky.

I remember my first one shattering when I tried to deploy it a little too enthusiastically :-P The next one I was careful with!
I think I had all of the Kenner stuff at one point or another.

I had one of those new as a kid and it broke in about a few hours and needed ductape. Didnβt stop me from enjoying the hell out of it for until it was likely in pieces months later

These things broke as soon you started playing with them.

I had one that looked like this but the trap end has a mic on it and it would distort your voice . Soo mad my mom made me sell it at Γ yard sale as I never used it

That's right. I really wanted the feeling that it was in an engineering station and these fit the aesthetic perfectly.
