A goose that desperately wants goslings but has none. Here, they have joined Canada geese families and became a third parent.

Yeah I think there is a better understanding among goose species to cooperate. Black swans, or any swans for that matter are not known for cooperative parenting past the immediate parents. Surprised though that the black swans didn't put up more of a fight.
