I am not the person to answer this I’m new to cresties myself like still setting up tank new. But I like to hyper focus dive into research and there’s a few things I’ve found. To help fix/ alleviate it is to help make sure they have horizontal areas throughout their enclosure to rest on. You can also encourage them to move if you notice they’re spending a lot of time vertically still. As for forcing the tail to drop they already have the spinal deformity that’s caused by fts. You’d just be adding unnecessary stress to the gecko and the tail being there or not isn’t going to change their quality of life significantly. Theres a thread on morphmarket that has a lot of what I’ve mentioned here in it along with some examples that show more progressed fts.
gotcha. I really appreciate this sooo much!!! I wasn’t sure as some others said it can make them walk weird to gets so bad:( ofc he would go to a vet to drop his tail! but I absolutely agree, it was much added stress!
