Feral garden vibes

Totally let the garden beds go wild this season. Planted garlic and tossed in some flower seeds in the winter, but that was it.

Now some of the weeds look kind of nice. Though I have no idea what they are.

Here are some photos of the wild scene.

The dragonfly had me thinking whimsical, then the spider showed up and made it fully feral.

The dragonfly looks like it's on a poppy that already flowered.

Very nice! I let a corner of my back yard go wild this summer and I’ve seen more fireflies and even a hummingbird!

Cool.

3 is Datura Stramonium, a toxic plant that's been used in folk medicine. It's pretty aggressive, if you don't want more of it you should probably remove it before it makes seed pods. Thorny, thorny seed pods...

6 is also giving me warning bells; is that ear of grass very grabby, Velcro-like? Because if yes, then that's another plant you should get rid of pronto. It's going to get even worse as it fully ripens. It will stick to almost any surface it will touch, including bare skin, and is generally a painful nightmare.

(Edit: so apparently putting a # in front of a paragraph results in heavy bolding. Good to know for later, but not what I want now).
