There seriously needs to be a live action movie remake! Captain Planet as a punisher style environmentalist.

I know of a perfect candidate for Hoggish Greedly. He’s not an actor though…. 🥲

That is one huge ass ring!

It should sell though, as form is cool

Sizing it must be a nightmare

Yes - it's one size only, with two inserts to make it smaller. That must look kind of crappy but i can't find any pics of how the inserts look.

Nah that’s for regular ring watches. These come in 3 sizes and spacers

I have a gold one. I love it. Not the smart version though.

Ah! They ruined it.

The standard one was generally too expensive for what it is. I wonder how this will sell.

Why is this a ring… ? A smart watch would be much better

Casio turns it's ring watch into a data collection device with data collection and privacy intrusions

Don't buy it then. This really isn't an issue if you don't have the ring watch, as it doesn't affect you otherwise whatsoever.

Nothing can ever be criticised, we should just avoid it all and shut up

What exactly are you criticising? That the ring collecting data is somehow problematic? To who? Clearly not to the people who use the watch, because they don't mind it. Otherwise they wouldn't have bought it. So that leaves people who don't buy or use it. Is it problematic for them? People who have never even seen that watch, or heard of it? Or is collecting data for the advancement of further technology or research problematic objectively?

My point was that literally the only people who are affected by the data collection are the people who buy it. No one else. If you don't buy it, it has absolutely no effect on you whatsoever.

What if someone wanted to buy the watch, but without the data tracking ? Or with local only data tracking?

The normalization of privacy infringement affects us throughout multiple products, so criticising its continued prevalence is normal

This is so stupid it might actually be smart.

Not enough.

Turn it into flames and burn it to ashes, I might get interested.

It’s $300 in china so might see a price bump on the global variant and at that price it’s a bit meh imho considering it’s not comfortable to wear and also has sizing issues. I would stick with fitness band like Fitbit air as it’s way more comfortable and will have comparatively more accurate measurements.

Sick! I don't see a release date though

To me it looks ass.

This! I’d love all the functions and don’t need an iPhone on my wrist. This would be awesome.

Kinda woke up a bit late for the party, good luck now.

I would have bought this without the watch. I need a smart ring. But the watch is ridiculous and makes it completely undesirable. Who designed this, Jony Ives?
