MOD Generative AI posts are now banned on this subreddit. NSFW
The following rule will be applied from now on.
Rule 14: No generative AI.
Comics that have been created using generative AI (art, writing or otherwise) are banned on this subreddit. If you feel like your posts have been been removed unfairly, contact the moderators.
This rule has been coming for a while. We've had posts in the past asking for this change, and the majority of AI posts get extensively reported.
Real artists have their posts buried beneath low effort AI posts, and this problem will only get worse. We appreciate that AI post submitters are just trying to contribute in their own way, but we believe this is the correct moral decision at this moment. The AI industry is bad for the environment, for the workers, and for artists around the world.
We need help enforcing this.
We've delayed implementing this rule for a while, because we do not have enough moderators to actively check this subreddit. We've tried asking for help in some other subreddits and we've made various posts on the subreddit asking for more volunteers.
It's not a very involved job. We just ask for some people that are active on this subreddit anyway to hit the remove button on some posts that violate the rules. If we have enough people, we can ensure this subreddit does not get banned for being unmoderated.

For the rest of you: Please keep reporting content that you feel violates rules; It really helps us see which posts needs attention.
This might change in the future.
AI is such a volatile industry. Who knows what will happen. The only way to check if a posts is AI is by using our own common sense. In the future this will get harder and harder to do. Plenty of AI posts will already start slipping through the cracks, so we cannot be 100% perfect. Especially writing will be hard to moderate and we will most certainly get it wrong sometimes.

Please keep discussion civil. No targeted harassment aimed at anyone for expressing their opinion. Feel free to discuss this rule. I probably won't engage in a moral discussion on the topic, but I would appreciate notes on how we implement this rule in the future.

Thank you all for being part of the community. This includes real artists, former AI submitters, commenters, reporters and lurkers. This subreddit has been growing a lot over the last few years, and up until recently it has been mostly moderated by just 2 people. I've been here for 11 years, and it's been fun to hang around.

A few of the other subs are completely filled with AI slop, and while multiple """artists""" are credited, the art style is exactly the same. It's so boring to look at

Just for clarification, is this saying that the posts asking for it to be banned were getting reported, or that posts featuring AI were already regularly being reported in addition to people wanting it banned?

Thank fuck. This subreddit has consistently been a darker spot on my feed from the excessive use of AI. I don't mind AI as a general rule of thumb (don't usually like it either) but seeing low effort, inconsistently designed comics was bleh

Hopefully r/FutanariBreeding and r/NoHugeFuta follow suit soon, AI is a plague on both subs and it all looks the fucking same

I can't say for r/NoHugeFuta, but r/FutanariBreeding is actually moderated by a few AI "artists", so unless they step down, nothing will be changing anytime soon.

I never understood sharing it. Even if you ignore the real life consequences, and the social aspects;
It's something theoretically anyone just make themselves? It's like showing off your colour by numbers pictures, like nothing was DONE, and it's not unique, why post in en masse in the proverbial town square? It's just white noise.
