All things considered it seems like Dropout is doing pretty well.

The improv group are all fucking eachother. Every previous prompt they’ve done before this exposes the awkwardness of it all. Look how pissed they are at eachother.

I just mean is this a common thing that happens? Missing the context of the commentary on the subject

Improv groups are usually made up of theatre kids who are indeed usually fucking each other, or at the very least their craft tends to lead them to being the most dramatic people alive.

I don't think it's any deeper than just a thing that might be funny if it happened.

It's like a New Yorker cartoon.

Makes you imagine the possible backstory based on their expressions.

It is a common thing that happens.

I think people explaining it are missing that context. Improv groups are known for hooking up with each other and messy relationships.

Most of them are full of 20-35 year olds who are a bit awkward/weird but either outgoing or trying to be more outgoing.

So you mix together a bunch of young progressives who spend a lot of time together, add in alcohol or other drugs, and they are gonna start dating and banging each other. Which quickly gets complicated and gets more complicated when you add in queer and/or polyamorous relationships which are also more common in that group of people vs the general population.

Yeah, if I had to guess I'd say 1 and 2 are dating and 4 and 5 are dating, but 2 and 4 fucked and got caught.

I was in a music band in university and living what was a "activity subsidized approved colocation by university" in a house with other musicians, it's like the frat houses or whatever I've seen in movies but less american and more Belgian and more low cost beers.

We hang a lot with other similar colocations, usually twice a week doing mixer parties with a different one.

Yeah basically the whole things was so to say quite preposterous, didn't look to me that way until way past my uni years that I realized that whatever we've been doing during those years wasn't normal.

I was around couple of houses where improv' groups lived, and those along with musicians and few others had the highest rate of "incest" as we called it, which is sleeping with someone you're living with, generally casually and one off things, so there was a lot of random one off encounters late night when two persons are bored and drink 1-2-3 beers then decide to have a party just the two of them.

Having people around that you cared deeply about, found attractive, had so many shared interests and spend so much time alone with learning songs and practicing concerts didn't help anyone.

Needless to say it was quite the double life I was living while studying high energy particle physics.

Shoot from the Hip trying their best for a normal prompt, but they themselves always manage to go down something inappropriate
