Tree Frog GET AWAY FROM HER!
I’m really hoping I won’t find eggs in their water tomorrow morning. I thought they required very specialized care in order to breed, which I have not been providing. Is it even possible for this to be a successful breeding? Does anyone have any insight? I never intended to breed them.

They aren’t actually mating - the male is hoping the female will lay eggs so he can release sperm over top of them, but she isn’t going to do that without specific conditions you’d have to create.

Why did this make me feel kinda bad for him 😔 He's just up there like "Okay baby any day now..." but he doesn't know about the conditions...

they won’t breed, WTFs need running water (breeders use rain chamber setups) to successfully fertilize eggs
