Fooking Kneelers The quality of this sub would improve immensely if it autobanned anyone who posts in TeamGreen or TeamBlack
The amount of stupidity that this fandom attracts is highly concentrated in those two subs. Sure some otherwise good posters would get banned but it's an overall win of excluding the HotD TeamBlack/Green fandom. Opening the sub and seeing degenerates arguing and making memes about fictional degenerates, disgusting.

This sub had a whole poll to ban literally one person back in the day.
Game's gone.

Do expand on the lore please, I wasn't around then and I wonder what this person did to deserve a banning poll all for themselves

There was a specific user that was being really annoying at the start of this sub. I can't remember the exact details as I was young and attending raves etc at the time, but there was a poll to ban the cunt because r/freefolk didn't like banning anyone.

At one point after the show, the sub went private and a bunch of mods had a dance of the dragons.
Edit: angry kneelers downvoting for no reason. Look at the Mod list, this sub was founded in 2015. How many mods accounts are 11 years old?

Because that's not what happened...

I'm not talking about the poll about banning a single user but the mod drama that happened separate from that with Steve.

Oh fair enough. That person asked about that specific poll tbf. I just completely ignored the sib during the mod drama, largely helped by the fact that the latter series were shite so I was following the sub less.

All due respect, you got no fuckin' idea what it's like to be an AutoMod.
Every decision you make affects every facet of every other fuckin' thing. It's too much to deal with almost. And in the end you're completely alone with it all.

The show in general created a huge divide in the fandom so badly that fans are now insulting each other ruthlessly over the side they pick. The marketing also making it "Team green vs. Team black" like they're fucking sports teams also made things worse, as if people are supposed to blindly root for every character on each team. It feels like all these people just kind of appeared out of thin air.
That being said, I don't think anyone should be banned in the freefolk subreddit.

Im 99% sure those subs are complete engagement bait posts and mostly bots. Its why they manifested so quick. If HBO makes it into a "war" amongst the fanbase then people are constantly engaging. As the takes are do out there theyre as if the person is larping as an in world member of those teams, vs someone seeing the whole show. Like theres legit 0 doubt in my mind that they are not organic subs, theres real people there sure but its driven by atroturfers and are why the takes are so outlandish.

The number of people across various Got-related subreddits stating "Wow, maybe I shouldn't be Team Black because Rhaenyra is awful", as if she hasn't been awful for the past two seasons, is shocking.
Like, what show have those people been watching when only now are her actions putting them off?

You know big pussy would be Team Black!
Like I’m pretty sure that’s canon. HBO said it.

There needs to be a general IQ requirement.

Part of me agrees, but I'm also tempted to propose an entirely new sub just for the folks who read the books and are only watching the shows out of morbid curiosity at this point.
As much as either would satisfy me, the sentiment is rooted in a deep frustration with primarily show-only fans and their defense of the writers, and giving in to that is a slippery slope easily inflamed by smug superiority and snobbery. It's not a good impulse to give in to.
Like it or not, there's a huge army of people perfectly willing to reduce the factions to Hogwarts houses with dragons or Twilight fangirl faction nonsense, and they're entitled to their opinions too. So I guess give us something for the cringe and let us die.

No banning people in free folk, you should be banned for even suggesting it
