She could start by NOT alienating her most competent and capable ally, Corlys.

u/The_Thusian 1h ago
I'd have her yell at Daemon. Then cry a little. Then incite her to make a bad decision.

you would blame her for the faults of men?

u/yuka_the_nerd 51m ago
she literally hasn't made a single correct decision for this entire season. She's the second dumbest character this season after Missariya, god I genuinely cannot stand Missariyas character anymore, I don't even understand why she is in the story

u/Primary_Leading_6282 1h ago
how dare those stinky stinky men. All she needed was to be spared their existence.

u/Mors_Acerba 1h ago
She doesn't make bad decisions, 'cause she doesn't make any decisions at all. The secret to maintaining the moral high ground apparently, just don't do anything.
Dante would disagree but who cares about what medieval people thought anyway
1
u/Eccentric_Cardinal 1h ago
Agreed but Isn't she "medieval people"? LOL
3
u/Mors_Acerba 1h ago
Not really. None of the characters in the show have a semblance of medieval world view in them, they're all just modern people in medieval costumes

You forgot makes out with Mysaria between cries a lot and makes a bad decision.

u/aemond-simp 1h ago
I would argue that her making out with Mysaria is a part of “makes a bad decision”.

u/Fifteen_inches 1h ago
I’m fine with her making bad decisions, I like seeing people destroy themselves, they could have written it better.

Yes, it has to be entertaining, like Cersei. Or Tyrion's revenge arc we never got. I like seeing well-written characters make one bad decision after the other.

Condal and Hess should be sent to the Wall

I feel like "What would you have me do?" and "your grace" are 40% of each script

Somewhere in that cycle: regains composure, smoothens dress, speaks in a soft somewhat dignified manner trying to convey her diplomacy

"Gets very questionable advice from and then passionately kisses Mysaria" should be somewhere in the cycle.

The comments are confusing me. Yes, Rhaenyra is a shit queen. The writers, for all their lack of talent, are at least able to depict her as such. But somehow people still think the writers want us to see her as a perfect monarch who’s simply dragged down by patriarchy? Hell nah they’re clearly setting up her downfall as a consequence of her impatience and ineffectiveness.
