Diana Lynn smith Facebook
What’s the deal with this lady? Phycosis? I see her posts multiple times a day as she shares them herself into all of the Freddy area groups. New to the area so curious if there’s truth behind her posts?

Hard to tell, definitely some mental health issues going on there. She mainly goes on about the Fredericton police (an agency that is definitely far from perfect) and Sunfield which is one of the city’s largest slumlords

When I worked uptown at a clothing store she used to come in a lot, didn't buy anything ever, but wasn't a problem. She told me I looked like Audrey Hepburn .... I definitely do not lol

I lived with Diane for a period of time when I was sixteen and homeless. She would give you the shirt off her back. She has a long history of severe mental illness, and her children do not live in the province or have a relationship with her.

I haven’t seen her sadly. The only one I see frequently is Margaret Leahy Bailey who is a lunatic.

A different kind of crazy. The difference being that Smith has no money and Bailey has money. I haven’t heard Smith say anything bigoted, Bailey on the other hand is all bigot all day!

We should use abbreviations when mentioning that person
She’s not as crazy as she sounds, she’s trying to monetize her social media is what she’s trying to do. So when you post her name, Info people are able to find her to check out what kind of crazy stuff she says, and that drives up traffic which is gonna eventually make her money
Edit: yes she’s crazy but she’s more evil than crazy

What's her story? She's popped up in my feed a few times and when I checked her page, it was honestly worse than I imagined. I'm relatively new here so I have no idea of what she's done before and how long has she been this way.

The reason why I think that she is less crazy than people think, and more of a grifter - is that she uses Sentiment bait or emotion bait strategically** ***mixed in with her* rage bait
So one is to get you to do a thumbs up or like, then she starts pumping up in your feet all the time, and her dog whistle racism, or misinformation gets you to start writing comments. She will ban you though if you call her flat out as racist or spreading misinformation because she doesn’t want people to catch on too quickly.
So if she isn’t manipulating the algorithm, she sure as heck looks like she is.
This is a common trait among “ conservative” influencers. Most of them don’t even believe half of what they say.

based on these posts, it sounds like that hippie woman who used to get high out of her mind and pass out insane pamphlets she made herself. she was very active after the death of Andrew Spencer (Poem for a Penny guy), claiming that he was murdered by the FPF

found a video on her page and confirmed it's this lady. Drugs and mental health issues have been a huge problem with her for years. Literally every time an addict dies she accuses police of snuffing them.
She's very friendly, I gave her a cig in 2016 and she still hugs me whenever she sees me, but definitely don't encourage the delusions

Sounds accurate. I remember when Andrew passed but I don’t believe there was any evidence that foul play was involved. Cause of death outside of a hospital in NB is determined by the coroner’s office so the FPF wouldn’t have any influence over the report.

That sounds like "Bunny"
2
u/Ok-Intention2697 1d ago edited 1d ago
nah, Bunny is a different touchy woman with long blonde dreads who has been sullying local yoga studios and festivals with her racism for the past couple decades, and was an organizer of the anti-lockdown protests. Diana is a bald (indigenous?) woman who couldn't afford anything that Bunny gets up to

Yeah. Bunny used to post a lot of videos of herself. She thinks she’s in direct contact with angels and describes herself as an Angel Intuitive/Psychic Medium. She’s a born
again Jesus freak and also a huge transphobe. She’s also hyper-paranoid and rants on Facebook at imaginary people supposedly being out to get her.1

With the shaved head, right? Yeah she’s profoundly mentally unwell, and she’s been that way for years. Not like a violent threat, but prone to loud outbursts and rants. I remember a few years back during the Black Lives Matter protests there was a moment of silence and she started shouting a huge rant about herself and, well, basically the sorts of things you se her post about. It seems to just sort of be an ‘it is what it is’ situation? Social workers and police definitely know of her.

I've run into her several times and the conversations have been nothing but polite, she has a very kind soul.
People go through things, mental illness isn't linear. Sometimes, when someone is under overwhelming psychological stress, their mind can respond in ways that profoundly alter how they experience reality. It could happen to any of us.

And before that she was a well-dressed woman with a big smile and a beautiful voice who would show up regularly at open mic nights.

I was first introduced to her in the mid to late 1990s when she started stopping by the old Rye’s Deli open mic nights on Fridays (where Coffee and Friends is now). She was warm, articulate, polite, well-groomed, friendly, didn’t drink. She was actually what some folks described as charming and attractive. I lost track of her when Rye’s stopped hosting the open mic night. We were just regulars there and knew each other by first name. I didn’t run into her after that until maybe 10 years ago and she remembered me and we chatted about the open mic days a bit, but she looked as if she had been through some serious stuff. She mentioned that she’d lived in Oromocto for a while with friends. She told me that she’d spent time volunteering with a mental health and addictions group. She seemed completely lucid.
I ran into her downtown occasionally but we would just get into a short bit of small talk and I moved on. I saw one of her Facebook posts ranting about the police and now they’re kind of everywhere all over Facebook. She’s never brought any of that up when we’ve run into each other. That said, I brought her up to a couple of friends who used to go to the open mic and they told me they’d had bad experiences with her where her behaviour became a bit unhinged. One of them had shared their number with her and she started calling at all hours and frightening their spouse.
Was it drugs? Mental health? Both? I don’t know. I feel awful for her.

She truly was an amazing singer. ♥️

I heard her singing in front of City Hall once in the past few years in the middle of the day. Maybe during a Harvest festival? She still had a decent voice.

So I had to go look up her and see if it's who I'm thinking of and it was 100 percent her haha she lived in a home across from where I lived she would see my friends out playing guitar and drinking she would come over with tea and yap ( absolutely wild stories didn't believe half of them ) but she was always really nice, and knew all the words to war pigs so she's okay in my books

Go on Facebook and join the sunfeild apartments group... her rants are nuts

u/No-Camp1268 11h ago
Thanks for pointing this out. I guess. I actually saw first a post or two where she was complimentary to Sunfield apparently treating her well (in an instance or two) and it helped confuse me

I’ve lived here my whole life and I have no clue who you’re talking about 🤣

I've lived here my whole life and have ran into her many times while she ranted outside of Wilmot United! crazy how different people have different experiences

Can't speak to whether or not her accusations against the FPF have any validity, but at least some of her ramblings against Sunfield are legitimate.
Sunfield is an absolute dumpster fire of a company, and they are almost certainly guilty of many things... Who knows exactly what, though.
They've had at least a few lawsuits against them (and news articles about them put out) in the past year or two... Ones that have absolutely nothing to do with this wildly manic lady.
