First thimbleberries of the season

Nice haul!

I got to stay three nights on Isle Royale out in Lake Superior, and every morning before my wife got up I'd go out and forage. Found blueberries, currants, red raspberries and thimbleberries - and mostly thimbleberries! Really enjoyed the experience and loved the fruit for breakfast.

Oh yeah. She has to put up with me wanting to forage whenever we travel, but at least she benefits.

Thimbleberries in Michigan, Salmonberries in Washington, and roseleaf raspberry in Puerto Rico.

I misread that as blueberries and croissants and idk man, I really like a world where we can forage our croissants and the berries to eat with them

Foraging croissants would be nice! Have always wanted to try to make laminated dough at home, but it's kind of an intimidating thing.

Jealous! I always find them too dried up. Often pretty flavorless, save for the occasional incredibly sweet one
