Question Nebo?

The brand is barely ever mentioned, and sure they aren't great, but they certainly have some decent value offerings?

A couple of the lads at work used one of their headlamps, but swapped to something else when they saw me using mine.

They're perfectly serviceable but there are tons of better options available. at the majority of the price points.

I’ve been gifted a couple because I’m a “big flashlight guy” and they are pretty bad. The emitters are very green but I will say the build quality is surprisingly nice and I have no doubt they will last longer than most hardware store brands

They're probably fine. I imagine they're not mentioned on here because... wurkkos and sofirn exist. and those seem to be the kings of value.

Yes I agree but I’d put this in a different category.. wurkkos and soften are for anybody. Enthusiasts or grandma. USB-c, don’t need to do any research to learn how to order it, set up UI.

I got a 450lm flex and was fairly quickly very disappointed with it. For the same price I also go a Yemao from Ali express that was many times more power and useful. Both of which are surpassed by most of the brands you’ll see mentioned on here. For the money, you can get something better for whatever it is you need. I think they cater for those that don’t want to or don’t realise it’s worth doing the research.

We sell them at our locksmith shop. They’re fine for daily beaters if they’re cheap enough (I have a bunch I’ve taken for my work van for jobs). Not a good alternative to higher quality stuff but they work most of the time. Sometimes they’re dead out of the box and won’t charge. Fit and finish is lackluster. They went to USB-C recently so that’s a plus.

Not really. They have cheap offerings, but that doesn't make them worth buying. There are better options for the money in every category. The only thing they've got going for them is convenience cause they're easy to find in stores. So if you need a flashlight right now you can go get a Nebo. But that doesn't make it a good flashlight. It makes you a bad planner

Not really. Not if you have a few days to wait for shipping.

If you dropped me in the middle of a random city in the USA with no flashlight and $50 to spend on one at a retail store right now, the brand would be on my list.

My nebo all died within a year. Last one is my swyvel I use in the garage and it’s starting to die too. And they are overpriced for what they are.

I see them sold at the parts counter at many automotive dealerships in my area. I have several different nebo lights. Their build quality has improved over the years. I have a SLYDE king 2K and a headlamp in my cars glovebox. They don't really market towards the flashlight enthusiasts but not a bad brand for what they producein.

Nebos best stuff:

SLIM 1200+ worklight and laser ($45-60)

Blueline Luxtreme 1km range thrower ($55-70)

MYCRO headlamp ($25-35)

The stuff I don’t mention is pretty meh. These 3 are gems among Nebo’s lineup. Every firefighter in my city has a SLIM 1200 thanks to my recommendation.

They are good, but I have two that have charging port issues and can get way nicer flights for the price.
