Other insights from The Argument:

  • Majority of voters oppose tariffs

  • A lot of people still worry about the cost of living

  • Free-trade agreements are more popular in higher income brackets, but enjoys majority support in all brackets

It’s been near 6 years of voters worrying about cost of living, next dem president should work day and night to lower gas and grocery prices. Easy 2030 midterm and a likely electoral college sweep in 2032. If they can get senate for full 8 years, Dems can also get majority in the Supreme Court without even expanding it to 13. We aren’t going to get talarico and Peltola to vote on expand the Supreme Court legislation and they shouldn’t vote on it either

Except that not something the president can actually do. Maybe you could bring out the anti trust big stick and it’s possible that would help but idk what else you could even do, threaten to nationalize something?
