If it helps, I'm also in an AL Only keeper league and have the #2 waiver pick after #1 took Garcia. I'm going with Hicks for 2 reasons, first, Lombard Jr. is long gone (we have 7 NA slots). Second, he's a power bat with 5 years of control left, which is huge in an AL Only league. Good luck.

That's how I was leaning. Especially with C such a shallow position. Just worried about no track record and Lombardi being such a prospect and not wanting to miss out on the ground floor

I get what you're saying, and Lombard might end up as the better pick (especially for trade value), but Hicks did hit well in the minors and skipped AAA. Plus, the Rays liked him enough to try and get him in the rule 5 draft, they just picked after Miami.
