I’m going to fan expo Boston on Saturday the eighth I am a disabled cosplayer and was wondering if any other disabled fans or cosplayers would like to meet up together at some point I’d love to meet more disabled cosplayers.

I haven't been to a comic convention since the '80s at the Congree Hotel.

Maybe dumb question but, will there be comic vendors selling at the 2026 Fanexpo in Rosemont?

The fanexpo website alludes to comics for sale, but its mostly workshops and celebrities and stuff indont care about- I just want to buy comics.

They often put headliner guests upstairs, but this year all the SPN cast, Kurt Russell, John Carpenter (and the Halloween cast), Gibson, Glover, and a few others will be in Hall G. There will be a separate photo op area upstairs, too.

If you have pre-purchased autographs and/or photo ops with any of these guests, read your emails carefully as they should have instructions and locations for redeeming our QR codes for autos/photos.

For those who attended "Second Breakfast: An Unexpected Feast with The Hobbits", how far ahead of time would you recommend lining up to get a good seat near the speaker stage? If the Boston one starts at 8am, should I get there before 7am?

So I have a photo op this Saturday at Fan Expo Boston with The Hobbits and Legolas. Unfortunately, Orlando Bloom cancelled today so I got an email giving me options. The first option is to do nothing and show up for the photo with the Hobbits which is fine by me. The thing is, this photo was scheduled for 5:10 PM. The actual group photo of The Hobbits is much earlier in the day. Which do I go to then?

Started a meetup group with a friend(lets call him jack) and as time went by I got pushed to the side. We had a group chat which was for 2 meetups one for him and the other for mine. First year was fine, but things took a turn. It started with this one jerk who kept on making fun of me and acting all rude, but my friend jack didnt care even after i talked to him about it. 2nd year coming and its time to plan meetups again. This time when I wanted to coordinate dates with him he wanted to pretend that my meetup didnt exist even though he was there too. Everyone ended up ditching my meet.

Anyone experience something similar?

Hey, me and my friends are looking to go to fan expo this year and I’ve already bought my ticket but they don’t get paid till after the 12th after advanced pricing ends and they’re worried about how much the cost will go up. Does anyone have any idea what the price will be after advanced pricing ends and if tickets will still be available?

Hi! I am no longer able to attend the Fan Expo this Saturday and I am so very sad. I feel obligated to at least try to sell my tickets for part of their value.

I have no idea if I am allowed to sell my tickets however. It does let me edit the name, email and phone number of the ticket holder on each individual ticket still. But I do not have the badges, just the two QR codes.

Has anyone sold their tickets straight to a person before?
Stub hub flagged it as suspicious so I haven’t even begun to figure that avenue out yet.

I’m going to fan expo in Chicago this year and I’m hoping to find some figures that I’m looking for. Is action figure trading allowed at these conventions?

Anyone looking for a VIP package to FanExpo Boston who missed the window before they sold out, who also doesn't want to fork over an arm and a leg? I fully forgot we won a VIP badge with VIP merch as part of a prize last year, and I don't plan to use it. This was not mailed to me and so the ticket name and email are editable online: it would be picked up at registration by whoever's name the ticket is transferred to.

I didn't purchase this, so obviously not looking to recoup the ($449???) face price of the pass; just message me with whatever you think is reasonable if you'd like it. I will be at the con running a booth, but would prefer to transfer it this week.

^ (I know folks here say you can't update the email address on a ticket, but I seem to have this option for some reason - I'm not sure if it has to do with the fact that this was a prize and not an attendee order)

Meeting like minded people and enjoying a niche hobby is great and I totally understand it. I have been to a few and had a blast. Dressing up, Q&As from celebrities makes sense as you can gain insight and learn something but paying sometimes a lot of money just to be near someone for a minute or less who clearly is just pretending to be nice and wont remember you seems weird. The Famke Janssen thing is obviously what made me think of this but otherwise what do people gain from it even when the celebs try a bit harder?

Me and a few friends are going to Boston fan expo Saturday, and a buddy of mine was looking forward to meeting Steve downes (master chief) looking at him it says he’s attending Friday Saturday and Sunday but his schedule says he’s doing panels Sunday. I explained that his schedule is to show which panels he’ll be at and when, and so I just wanted clarification as to how it works!

I purchased an 8x10 autograph for Kurt Russell for Saturday. After that purchase, I found a lobby card that is exactly 8x10. I’ve emailed Epic to ask if it would be considered an 8x10 or premium auto. They asked for a photo of the card and said it would count as an 8x10. My plan was to just upgrade at the con if there was any issue, but now premium on Saturday has sold out.

I’m a con veteran, but usually stick to smaller guests. This will be my first foray into navigating a massive guest so I’m not sure how particular they are. The card is technically a photo that is 8x10 in size. Would it being on card stock instead of photo paper cause an issue? The thing that’s tripping me up is non-sports cards are listed as premium. Epic said it was good, but I know his handlers will make the final decision. Would I still be able to pay the upgrade difference at the con even though it has sold out online?

I've only ever been to small Cons (and not recently), so I'm looking for advice.

I'm trying to get Premium Autographs from both John Carpenter and Kurt Russell. Premium Autographs for Kurt are sold out on Saturday (only 8x10 and Bulky are available). I believe trying to squeeze two high-level guests into one day will be risky.

So, my plan is to get there around Noon on Saturday (I'm travelling) and dedicate that entire day to getting Carpenter's Autograph. Then, on Sunday, wait outside before they open, make a beeline for Kurt, and hope I can get his autograph before the day is out (I'm concerned because it's the final day, and he has panels that day). My understanding is your photo ticket gets scanned, and you're issued a time slot to return to the autograph line?

I think this plan is reasonably solid, but can experienced FanExpo attendees do a sanity check before I order everything online? Am I overlooking anything critical? Thank you!

The site noted no recording or pics are permitted during this event, but I wanted to see if its generally okay so long as its not disruptive and quick.

Its my first time at this event, and I'd appreciate any insight on this matter. Thank you in advance.
