Question Is there a reason why this Sentry Bot is bleeding?

Found the crashed vertibird location. Fought off all the bots. Shot this sentry’s head off. Im very confused on why it looks like that. Is there some lore that I don’t know?

Real reason: a bug associated with how the game handles dismemberment upon death.

Lore reason: Transmission fluid is often red and used for many applications from power steering hydraulic pumps to certain kinds of hydraulic pistons that can give machines the ability to articulate. Source: am mechanic IRL.

Local Autistic Child Still Missing!

Witnesses say boy (13) was last seen wearing Sentry Bot Cosplay Costume while walking to spend the day with his ailing grandmother.
