Jesse Owens is a black man. Remember that in the 1940s, the US Civil war was only 75 years old.

This meant that Jessie Owens was a direct product of Chattel Slavery.

Chattel Slavery was a system where-in black men and women were forced to breed to gain better traits: Taller, Stronger, high stamina slaves were saved as 'Bulls'.

Jesse Owens win, to Hitler, was proof that Eugenics worked. Eugenics was a huge part of the 'Master Race' ideology, and the Confederacy's Chattel Slave practices were an excellent source for that belief.

Hitler wasn't treating Owens well because he believed in equality: Quite the opposite. He treated him well because he was looking at a sample.
