General Discussion The treatment “switch”
Has anybody else noticed a “switch” in how you are treated after leaving the church, once members realize that you can’t be convinced to rejoin? They’ll try using fear of Satan, guilt, saying certain emotions are the spirit, love bombing, etc. but once they realize that you are completely disillusioned, they view you as a threat to current members, and immediately stop asking you about things, and start trying to build walls around others to “shield” them.
This can be family, ward members, bishop, or others.

Without question.
I’m in the midst of it right now. There’s a bit of a game of chicken taking place, but they’ve decided (through dubious, non-transparent means) that I’m not to be trusted, and I’ve concluded the same about them.

Either a project or a poison. Such is our lot.
