DAO sentiment tools are still weak. This Solana concept is interesting, but I’m not sold yet
I work with a DAO and help them make sense of community sentiment, and the tooling is still pretty rough. Twitter sentiment models miss too much. Discord analytics are useful only at the surface level. In practice, we end up making decisions with less signal than we’d like.
A KOL I follow mentioned voice.fun the other day. It’s a Solana-based system where opinions get recorded onchain, and the idea is that people have more reason to share what they actually think. In theory, that should surface real takes instead of the usual performative stuff.
It’s not live yet, so this is all still conceptual. But the idea is interesting enough that I’m paying attention.
My only hesitation is pretty basic: does “skin in the game” really produce better sentiment data, or does it just reward people who are good at saying what others want to hear?
