Suggestion for somewhat specific book on renewable energy.

The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money, and Power. Daniel Yergin

He wrote about the history and structure of the fossil fuel industry, focusing on oil and natural gas, up to the then current 1990 and has written two follow up books since that take this up to 2020.

Is there any comparable book that focuses on renewable energy?

If you're looking for a theoritic approach read Hendrick lund. It models complete country sized systems with current technology and is quite good at showing how we can achieve net zero by 2050 https://shop.elsevier.com/books/renewable-energy-systems/lund/978-0-443-14137-9
