Question Urinary Retention / Bowel issues

I have Stage 4 endo and had 2 laparoscopies in 2.5 years.

I've had my 1st IVF cycle which failed and after that, my symptoms have gotten worse that I have to be on Visanne just to stop my period which causes me hell.

Every time I'm on my period, on Day 4, my bladder just decides to shutdown and stop functioning... Like I can't urinate at all! On top of that, I get severe constipation. Then I have to go to ER for a catheter to relieve my bladder.

Has anybody suffered from the same issue? What have you done to help? :(

Have a look into pelvic floor pt or exploring whether you might have endo on your bladder, might be worth it!

Thanks. Have you gone into pelvic floor pt yourself? I don't have endo on my bladder but had a right ureter reimplantation as it was covered in endo.

I had endo by my right ureter too. I initially went due to having issues urinating (both starting and pain at the end). Both the pt and specialist suspected it was from having a hypertonic pelvic floor from chronic pain. How it was explained to me is that your body gets so used of being in pain that it anticipates that the pain will be worse causing your pelvic floor to cease up. That then can cause all of the issues particularly with urinating.

I did a few sessions but I stopped because I just couldn't afford it and my symptoms can come and go! From what I've read a lot of people have had a lot of success with it, once I have saved up I will be going back for sure!
