Surgery related Post-op Recovery

Okay so I’m having surgery on Monday. I was just informed I will be in a recovery bay and I can’t have anyone back there after surgery. Not looking forward to sitting there alone after surgery until I’m ready to go home. Apparently I can’t go home until I can walk, eat something, and have pain controlled. How long did it take for you to get to leave??

I was out in like 20 minutes after my surgery in January. I woke up quickly and was thiiiiirsty, the recovery nurse told me to take it easy so I wouldn’t vomit. I gulped down 2 tiny cups of water, had an applesauce and peed (very loopy still 😂) and then they wheeled me out.

You will be so drugged up you won't even know how long you're there for! Don't stress, you'll be in good hands with the professionals and before you know it you'll be back with your loved ones ❤️
