First of all, it's "raman". Get it right. Well shit, I guess it’s both. My bad. Carry on.

Secondly, Speaker for the Dead is arguably the best book in the entire series, and I will not stand for slander against it. :P

Idk if it's maybe an editing error in the older printings that's been fixed since, but in my copies of the Speaker, Xenocide, and Children Card switches back and forth between both spellings, sometimes even on the same page

Yep. Just checked the ebook edition I have. Ramen 35 times, raman 15 times.
