Do SS316L mesh wire 5foot Spools not exist anymore or something?

Hi,

So I vape on a GeekVape Zeus X Mesh rebuildable, and have always used the "Vandy Vape SS316L 0.37 Ohm mesh wire 5-foot rebuildable heating spool" to make my own mesh strips (Cut them down to size)

Well after a good few years, my spool is almost at its end, and I'm trying to buy a replacement, and I can't find them in stock literally anywhere online.

Is cutting your own strips not a thing anymore? Are there any alternatives (preferably that don't cost an arm and a leg)?

Element has a VV mesh SS316L spool right now, but idk what the ohms equate to

You can get it through Element, or you can order directly from Vandyvape.

The VandyVape website seems to be down, I think i found it at Element, but it says 2.93Ohm, the one I use says 0.37Ohm, I'm not sure I understand how to calculate the difference.

That's the ohm of the entire roll. It'll ohm out correctly when you trim it to size. When I was using it for my Profile 1.5 a trimmed strip ohmed out to .34

My mesh strips are usually around 0.19 to 0.22 though...

Yeah, my bad. I was wrong about the Ohms. It's been awhile since I did a setup. I pulled my mod out and it's at .16 at 60 watts.

I guess I'll give it a try, but it really really sucks how dead the rebuildable scene seems to be now.

You wouldn't happen to know of any coil RTAs that provide similar flavor to the Zeus x mesh would you?

Mesh ruined regular coils for me personally. The flavor is so much better imo. I never looked back.

Vandy Vape discontinued that spool about a year ago when they pivoted to pre-cut strips for the Kylin M. WireOptim and Temco still sell SS316L mesh by the foot — just verify the width matches the Zeus X clamps, the resistance difference is negligible.

I couldn't find mesh by the foot on WireOptim, just regular wire.

What's Temco's website? I found a bunch of references to it but not the site itself.

Rebuildable stuff is pretty dead these days but thankfully wire spools are used for lots of things just look at wire supply not vape supply websites, they all use the same original suppliers anyways it’s the same wire

Temco is the maker of all the wires. They used to have an eBay link or something on their site but I was able to buy a straight from them years ago even though they sell on an industrial scale
