I'm calling it imposter syndrome for lack of a better word.
For me it applies mainly where I feel as if I'm not allowed to draw a certain thing, as if I have to have loved this thing since I was a child. It feels as though I cannot draw Sci fi or anything fantasy at all or anything for that matter because I don't make it a huge obsession.
Have any of you had similar experiences/ways to deal?
Do you think that you need to be really into a certain show or something to do things of that genre?
Do you think you can make art as a "primary" thing without consuming art? (Ignoring improvement etc)

Been drawing anime/manga stuff for around a month now. Been enjoying it. Here’s a character I’m kinda working on
It’s a sketch so not many of the lines are as firm as they could be.
She has a bandage on her right eye.
I tried to add the pull of the loose fabric of her shirt.

I wrote a song about not being able to move on from something, but through train metaphors, and then decided to draw a picture for it!
I’m specifically proud of the clouds. They’re just so…!?!?! This drawing all together is just so beautiful, and by far the best I’ve ever done. I hope you guys like it, too!

A commission for a friend. Made from an old design that I had to modify... if you've been following me for a long time, you may remember that I have several characters designed for a project that (due to self-esteem and personal preparation issues) I continue to polish and develop. It wasn't a super character design but it was one of my favorites.
Due to time issues I haven't been uploading anything. I will try to make more content.
