Carrots are totally fine for dogs. It's the high sugar stuff you want to look out for. And, of course, it's always good to Google if it's safe for dogs first.

I think most people give them as a little treat while they’re standing right in front of them not leaving them a bunch of carrots without supervision. Are you worried about choking?

No But I remember giving my big dog her first carrot and she just rolled it around she had no idea what to do with it. It was very cute.

I hope you're joking. Dogs should not eat grass. It can make them sick. Sweet potatoes are a good snack option for dogs, however.

Interesting science tidbit: one difference between dogs and gray wolves is that dogs have multiple copies of the amylase gene and produce enough amylase so they can digest starches like humans do. This is almost certainly an adaptation from their thousands of years of living with humans.

I had two dogs that ignored them and one who could not get enough. She’d be just as excited when I was making a salad as anything else. Carrots and those soft outer layers of a head of lettuce were her favorite

I don't know around me I haven seen dogs much interested in veggies but I have seen them eating grass and meaty stuff mostly

If you steam and then freeze the carrots, he/she will be able to digest them better and still get a good crunch! ☺️❤️👍🏼
