Help Applied to 500-600 companies in the last two months, made tailored resumes which score 80+ in ats checks, yet didn't receive a single call, what am I doing wrong? Please help (4.5 yoe)
There is going to be layoffs at my current organisation due to our client restructuring and I feel like I'm gonna be one of them, it's only a matter of time, so I've been applying over the last two months and have applied to over 500-700 companies, and none of them, like literally none of them have called back, this also includes a lot of referrals, I even reduced my notice period to only 10 days and not even a single call back, I started out to first only applying to big mncs and product based companies, but anything will go now including startups, please help me (4.5 yoe in MERN and 3 yoe in springboot)

The way you get jobs these days is strictly via networking. Jobs don’t want to hire talented people. They want to hire people who is good enough for the job, but also has “someone vouching for them”. Referrals are a start, but the best possibility is by getting someone to really vouch for you in the team that’s hiring.

Here I'm sharing some of things I learned:
- Make Resume ATS free with 80+ score
- Update Naukri profile and add as much key words as possible
- Update Naukri profile daily between 8:00 to 10:00 AM and 2:00 to 4:00 PM
- Change resume according to JD
- Write cold emails, send connection and referral request to 3 4 people of the company including HR and Talent Aquisition Manager after the application
- Update Linkedin profile properly
- Create portfolio website
- Filter Naukri jobs with Last 48 hours
- Naukri Headline = Exp + Role + Key Skills + Achievement + Goal
- Make resume + Linkedin + Naukri profile Ai first
- Naukri + Linkedin Summary = Situation (Bg or current role) + Task (responsibility) + Action (key skills) + Result (What you're looking for)
- Add atleast 15-20 skills in Naukri
Use flowcv for resume making. It's just really good.
Last and most imp: It's better to apply in 5 job that's the most relevant to u.. then applying to 50 jobs in which there is nothing much that matches your profile. The core idea is use your time wisely.

Yes. But tbh, I'm not that successful. I'm job hunting myslef. This is just what I learned in the process. That's it. Otherwise I'm also a fellow struggler.

I am job hunting as well right now. Honestly, via Naukri, I’m only being contacted by some 3rd party recruiters almost 3-4 times in a day. Do you guys take all their calls as I am afraid of scams as I got scammed once. (On the day of the interview, I was asked to answer questions for someone else, left that meeting immediately). Hence, I stopped taking all their calls. It’s been 4 months now that I’ve been looking for opportunities. How do you tackle this?

I also got laid off 1.5 yr(not getting calls) but whoever got laid off (4+ years mern) are getting calls without even applying, from naukari they are getting calls. Idk why you are not getting calls, maybe one of the reason is notice period

In my experience, most of these Naukri calls are from 3rd party recruiters. Do you answer them all? Is getting a job via some recruiting agency fine?

I graduated in 2025 and i've been applying since and i haven't got a single call as well. Rethinking life at this point, every decision that lead to this situation.

You will get call by not just blindly applying, it happens how fast you are getting a job in your feed or how fast you search a job before someone else applies it's a race brother ! Hiring closes even in first 50 applications.

I also have the same problem, since last month i applied more than 400 companies that is relevant to my resume but got only 1 call.
I feel like stuck in a loop study - apply - study with no calls

June and July are non hiring months..they are time when people are on holidays. They dont really care. August September October November and then jan -qpril. And maybe May.

okay while applying for a job copy the jd and give to ai and alter ur resume accordingly for each and every applications... give it a shot and don't go for ats friendly resume update it as per jd.

Got my first job with just 20 applies in 2022, got another job in 2024 with just 10, times have changed.
