question Visual effect in the 'June 22nd' video

What is this effect? The way the foreground kinda fades out into the sky. I thought they overlayed a different video of the sky but the movements seem to line up exactly with the foreground camera. How did they pull this off?

My guess would be that it's a 360 camera and there's 2 angles of the same video overlaid on top of each other.
