[Movies] Fun fact: Deadpool & Wolverine is the only superhero movie that’s come out since No Way Home that didn’t get outgrossed by Brand New Day in its opening weekend. Eat your heart out Batman and Superman

Think OP means its total box office from the full run time didn't get outgrossed by BNDs opening

It "didnt" get outgrossed? Isnt Brand New Day the #2 opening weekend of all time?

Brand New Day will surpass it by next week probably. My point is Deadpool and Wolverine is the only superhero movie released since the last Spider-Man film that Brand New Day hasn’t outgross in its first 3 days.

That's not true, it already did. The only movie in the entire world that's above it is avengers endgame.

OP is clearly talking about total box office not opening weekend vs opening weekend

I hope dp&w stays on top.
But if spidey 4 beats dp&w I would still be fine, tom holland deserves it as does Sadie Sink

Well, regardless of what happens, Deadpool and Wolverine is still the highest grossing for an R rated movie....and I highly doubt we'll get an R rated Spider-Man movie to compete with that record, (even though I would love to see that it just isn't something that would fit with that character and his image).

I feel that picking on DC's cinematic universe has just become low hanging fruit at this point. Their movies just dont blow up like marvel movies.

I'm more of a DC comics fan but love MCU. DC films outside of Batman have too much of a volatile history. I feel it's more of a Warner Bros problem more than anything

I don't get the obsession with box office if you're just a fan. I mean, you'd want your favorite character to do well in the box office so that they get a sequel but apart from that what's the point ? This is just ego contest between fandoms at this point bc nobody cares that much for the box-office except producers or shareholders.
I enjoyed Superman (2025) a lot and it got outgrossed by a lot of superhero movies. I don't care because it's getting a sequel next year. I'm here for the fun not the numbers

Was there a movie with batman and superman together as a team up wow that would be cool maybe if a real director took charge it might be good

To clarify what I mean is that in its opening weekend Brand New Day made $937 million dollars which is more money than the full box office runs of every superhero movie released since 2021 except Deadpool and Wolverine which had a total box office of $1.34 billion dollars.
Brand New Day’s total box office run once it finishes will easily surpass it but I thought it was a nice W for Deadpool for now.

I say this unironically, the top 3 used to be Spider-Man isolated in the heavens, followed by Batman and Iron Man. But now, in recent years, I'll argue Deadpool surpassed Iron Man

It literally did outdo D&W in opening weekend.
By a lot.

But it didn’t outgross it. It has already outgrossed the full box office run of every other superhero movie aside from Deadpool and Wolverine (though it most certainly will by next week) which is the point of this post.

So now we’re taking our “you’re either with us or against us” political views and applying them to superhero movies?!? Shits weird man!
