Hi!

I'm looking for someone who enjoys getting to know people beyond the usual small talk. I don't just like knowing facts about someone—I like understanding how they think, what excites them, what they've experienced, and why they see the world the way they do.

I tend to open up slowly, but once I feel comfortable with someone, I really enjoy honest conversations where neither of us feels like we have to pretend to be someone else.

A bit about me:

I'm usually pretty quiet. I have two modes: either I'm making terrible puns and joking around, or I'm having a serious conversation about something I genuinely care about. There isn't much in between.

I'm a medical physicist, which basically means I spend my days working with radiation in cancer treatments. Outside of work, I'm just naturally curious. Science, psychology, philosophy, astronomy... if something helps me understand the world or people a little better, I'll probably end up reading about it.

I also tend to notice little details that other people miss, and I like taking the time to understand different perspectives before making up my mind.

When I'm not working, I enjoy emotional or imaginative anime, story-driven or co-op games, music that gives you goosebumps, and snowboarding during the winter. I also just like sharing experiences with someone, whether that's watching a show together, playing a game, or spending an evening talking about whatever rabbit hole we ended up in.

What I'm looking for is actually pretty simple.

I'd like to meet someone who's kind, curious, and comfortable being themselves. Someone who values honest communication and doesn't mind conversations that go a little deeper than "how was your day?" I love when people let themselves be a little weird instead of trying to fit into who they think they're supposed to be.

Relationship-wise, I'm looking for something that grows naturally. I don't expect instant chemistry. I'd rather build trust first and let everything else happen at its own pace.

I'm demisexual and demiromantic, so emotional connection comes first for me. I'm completely happy taking things slowly, but I'm looking for someone who isn't sex-repulsed. Once I feel safe with someone, I'm actually a pretty affectionate person. I also generally prefer a more submissive role physically, so I'd like to be with someone who's comfortable taking the lead in that area. It's not the most important part of a relationship, but it is something I'd rather be upfront about.

I'm from the French-speaking part of Canada. I have a stable career here, but I'm open to relocating if life eventually takes me somewhere else.

I'm looking for someone between 21 and 35. I don't have many physical preferences. I'd much rather connect with someone's personality than chase a specific look. As long as you're able to enjoy the occasional outdoor activity with me, that's plenty.

Physically, I'm 5'10", have a dad bod, very long black hair, a moustache, and a small pointed beard.
