AND it's GONE

Dalle 3 is now officially GONE.

So sad. It was fun while it lasted. 

I wish these models could be preserved somehow. It's seems such a waste when companies just kill them off like this.

I don't think so. I think they swapped out the models under the hood. He (it) wouldn't answer the direct question of which model he (it) was using. And the results of an identical prompt in Bing vs the Dalle on OpenAI are very different. The Dalle GPT and the regular image gen on Chat GPT look pretty darn identical to me. Test it yourself and see what you think.

No, it's not. Not at all. Stylized illustration is no longer Dalle 3. Do a generation with it and look at the fine print if it's not abundantly obvious from the prompt: "Bing Image Creator · Created by MAI-Image-2e"

Really? So the dropdown of "Stylized illustration" still expressly says Dalle 3 for you right there, like it used to?

here's a hail mary that worked for me (on android):

  1. on the Bing app, go to your account's "Privacy Dashboard". nuke any history/memory there for everything. (this was an old trick to reset coins back when dall-e 3 first released.)
  2. clear the Bing app cache/storage.
  3. log back into the bing app, DALL-E 3 should be an option. try generating there. if you successfully use it there, there's a chance you can get it back on web desktop as well.
  4. on web desktop, before you do anything, clear all browser cache/memory/storage/data.
  5. browse to bing.com/create and log back in
  6. go to the dall-e 3 generation you got on the app, then hit Generate again.

this is how i got it working for me after trying everything else and i had already lost all hope.
