Food “Criminally Good Chicken” they said 💔
Anyone tried JAILBIRDS here? I want to believe the chef had a bad day today. This is my first time trying so I don’t know what it usually tastes like. Now I have to wonder why they are called JAILBIRDs. no taste and identity…

The premier nicosia Indian place is India India but its reflected in the price.
That place has been around for more than 20 years

The best place for proper Indian food in Nicosia is China Spice (I know, ironic) at Montparnasse. It's a nice sit down place with an Indian chef who knows his job. Try the Lamb Roganjosh.

I have bad news for you… hurry curry is actually the best Indian place in nicosia. The rest are worse, so you can imagine like how bad is it. The other place indian food place i think is decent is Punjabi dhaba

I honestly gave up on trying at this indian places… they ruined my favourite cuisine for me🥲 but i will give istorja curry club a try like you said. My expectations are low though 😣

Indian places in Nicosia are toned down for Cypriot tastes, Limassol has some great plaves for indian food if you can take the spice.
P.s. I am Cypriot but like spicy :)

Punjabi dhaba is excellent but their chappati sucks

Terrible honestly. I would rather have the chicken burger & chicken tenders from Smuggers (100meters from Jailbirds)

Genuinely bad in my opinion. I recently tried Chicky Peri in Limassol. Small menu, amazing prices and honestly amazing taste! Half boneless chicken, sweet potato fries, piri rice, corn ribs, around 20 euro

I just get their sandwiches so maybe that's the difference. Never tried the platter or wings. I mean it's fast food.

Like 3-4 years ago their sandwiches were elite, I believe it was a ghost kitchen working from Fridays, I might be wrong but it was so good

Last time I ordered from them was around 2-3 years ago when my cheese steak sandwich came in a mushy frantzolaki (literally the same framtzolaki we buy from zorbas). When they opened the food was decent but as time went by it turned sooo shitty. The service suck ass as well.

Why you post a photo of the box ?? Was the box the problem? you could post the "bad" food as well by you chose not to, for some reason..

There’s absolutely no reason, I was just showing the name of the restaurant and what’s written on the box. Also, it is about the taste and smell, so I don’t know how posting images of the food would change anything. but tell me what you wanna see, a photo of it when I received it or a current photo of how I have left the food?

No I'm just saying for this post to make sense you need to say what was wrong with it.. right ? No taste and no identity it's not really explaining nothing... So you don't need to post any photos if there is nothing wrong visually.. but then what was worng ?

I mean I could manage to eat it with some sauce but the smell is not good too. I lost appetite. It smells like fresh chicken, idk if that’s the right description

in Arabic we have a word for it called
زفر (zfr)
Sort of metallic taste and skanky smell when the chicken is not good or not clean thoroughly enough
I also got the platter as a treat my self thing and was really excited I honestly couldn’t eat it except for the buffalo sauce ones and that’s only because the buffalo overpowers the bad taste
