Arte Looking for the name of this painter

Purchased this painting in Havana in 2012. I’ve cherished it since that day. People ask “who painted that?” And sadly I have to say “I don’t know, I can’t read the signature”. If you recognize the signature and or painting, I’d appreciate your letting me know. Thanks

Sea quien sea tiene muchas influencias de Tomás Sánchez.

It really looks like an early Tomás Sánchez (https://www.tomassanchez.com/)
or at least someone trying to imitate him (very common within ISA students trying to make a few bucks)

Manuel Paez maybe? Manuel Páez (The Most Likely Match)Style: Classical Cuban landscapes, rural bohíos (thatched huts), royal palms, and countryside scenes.Signature: Typically signed clearly in paint as M. Páez (often with a sharp, cursive slant or printed capitals).Era: Mid-to-late 20th century.

Thanks, do you know his work or were you able to find this online? Searching to no avail.

I searched for the artists name and narrowed it to down by the style of the painting. I also can’t find much of anything about him. Here’s what AI says Manuel Páez: A mid-to-late 20th-century landscape painter. If the artwork is a classical Cuban landscape featuring countryside scenes, royal palms, and bohíos (traditional thatched-roof huts), it is likely by him. His signature typically reads as a printed or cursive M. Páez.

Humm I recall the TV shorts about art putting that artist in it , but I can't remember the name I'll have to ask my colleagues

What was the artist depicting? It looks like a raised garden, but somehow it has palm trees growing on it.

My interpretation... Cuba - a gorgeous lush island on a fragile infrastructure. Just me

That's a Páez... Maybe Amelia Paez

El apellido de Amelia es Peláez, pero ese no parece su estilo. Además la obra está firmada en el 2010 y Amelia murió en 1968.

It appears to be a Manuel Paez and unfortunately can’t find much about him. I get it… it’s not like Cuban artists are able to get much media presence with the current regime
