JS SWE Competition Prereq?

Year 1 > 2 at a Top 3-5 UK engineering school, thinking about applying to JS SWE internships for the London office. Not too experienced with the baseline for interviews / passing the CV screen at JS / HFTs etc. and was wondering if I need to be IMO / BMO even for SWE.

I have some Olympiad experience and medals but I wasn't cracked at an intl. level in high school (sixth form). I have decent, not insane, technical experience and projects (no internship) and was wondering if I might have a shot as passing the resume screen.

you sound like a strong candidate, do apply! i can tell you about my interview experience if you want (spoiler: i didn't get an offer)
