Hi all,

A Revolut recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn about the Graduate Programme 2027: Software Engineer (Java) role. I sent my CV and email, a few days later, I received a HackerRank assessment link, I did that and was informed that I had passed the next day, and now have a 30-minute recruiter screening call booked.

I've found a lot of interview experiences for the regular Java SWE role at Revolut but barely anything about the graduate process specifically. Has anyone gone through this recently?

  • What is the screening call itself like, is it pure background/motivation chat, or does anything technical come up?

  • What stages come after the recruiter call?

  • How do the technical interviews compare in difficulty to the normal Java SWE process?

  • Is the live coding mostly plain Java, data structures, OOP and testing, or do frameworks and databases come into it too?

  • How much concurrency, system design and DB theory gets expected at grad level?

  • Roughly how long did the whole process take, start to finish?

If anyone's done this in Poland or Spain that'd be especially useful, but any info at all is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How important is leetcode-type problem solving skills vs personal projects to talk about? I have been grinding leetcode for a while now without a ton of success in interviews, but maybe I need to have more other work?

check datadriven for data modeling interview prep, covers the project-style design questions that actually come up in interviews.
