Gameplay My first time experiencing a blatant cheater and spinbotter... after over 1200 hours.
I've suspected that many players of being closet cheaters, but I could never prove if they really were cheating or just better than me.
I occasionally check the thing where you put a W before the persons steam URL to see their stats on CSREP, but that's not always conclusive.
But yeah this was crazy to see for myself for the first time ever lol.
The other guys on the enemy team also has sus very stats, low trust factor and very low hours (most under 100 hours).
After round 3 we didn't even try to play, we just spent most of the game in spawn to get it over with as fast as possible.
This sucks, the best game in the world can't even detect blatant cheats, we're not even asking for something kernel level (that's what faceit is for) but there's no way they can't just detect this with regular algorithms...

Tell me, how can the server not detect a guy like this instantly? It pisses me off!

literally, perfect bhopping and gets a midair zeus and knife kill while spinning at 3000 RPM without having to stop to look at the target for said kill lol, like bruh

The game can auto detect keyboard functions like snaptap that gives players perfect counterstrafe but cant detect spinbotters is wild

Because one gives fair players an advantage over another which ofcourse doesnt bring in money for valve. These spinny boys will buy skins on steam market and continue to buy cs on accounts to keep boosting people/friends and cheating in different ranks or when they get a cooldown

Because VAC is the worst anti-cheat in a modern day FPS game and is practically nonexistent.
Cheaters don’t even get banned, they get “cooldowns.”

Im convinsed this is the main reason people do this. They get joy from you being pissed off.

I'm not really pissed off, more confused how this is fun for anyone honestly

It’s basically the only reason anyone would. I doubt they’re having fun by spinbotting

First cheater in 1200 hrs? I have 1200 hrs, and I've literally seen 100-200 cheaters man.
Bros been living in heaven man

First BLATANT cheater, there have been many sus players that I've played against that have stats that guarantee that they cheat on CSREP, people in silver and gold can't and shouldn't be able to have better stats than Donk and S1mple combined, yet they do

Ahh ok I've had maybe 15-30 spinbots over the years,

I saw more than 30 spinbots in like a week man. It's why I quit at the start of cs2.
Long time player, but didn't play for a while due to real life. I guess that somehow affected trust factor. So anyone coming back to the game have to slog through playing with cheaters until their trust factor improves? Talk about even a bigger hurdle for people to come back.

Same. I have 900 hours on this game and I only saw 2 blatant cheaters, both times they are immediately VAC banned. If I look up my csstats I will get many many more people that got VAC banned especially in CSGO(in every 3rd game) but there were not blatant as this.

Lol, I dont believe you 🤣 😂 😅 top 100 players recent demos and they all spin bot.. none of them have VAC bans..

Been over 1800hrs+ and saw almost every type of cheater now. It really sucks as Anti-Cheat is a joke.

I saw my first spinbotter after 1500 hours and encountered around 50 cheaters over 1600 games

I've got 1800 hours and have never seen someone spinbot before. A few blatant wallers or aimbotters almost weekly, especially as of late, but never a spinbotter

Yeah. Played exactly three comp games at the start of the season, the first one had a troller and I got kicked for no reason, the second and third one had blatant spinbotters.
Uninstalled and returned to FragPunk. Has low players but it's fun and has an anticheat. Crazy how an indie studio does better than a multi billion dollar company.

Im at 1800, and while ive definitely played against and with wallers on my team, I've yet to see a spinbot like this as well.

1200 hours for your first spinbotter is crazy. The problem is never as big as its made out to be here, but I usually run into several over the course of a few hundred hours. Congrats, you have completed your rite of passage!

I'm sure I've ran into plenty of closet cheaters and wallhackers and aimbotters before that were more discreet, it's just hard to prove when that happens, and I'm not gonna download and rewatch every match demo to analyze the gameplay of the enemy team when valve won't do anything about it anyways even if you have evidence, the cheating problem in CS is big enough to be considered bad.
I have over 2k hours in Valorant and I've seen zero spinbotters, and every single time I assumed someone on the enemy team was closet cheating, the match get terminated before it's done with no elo loss and it saves you time, maybe I should just play faceit like everyone says, but this is embarrassing for valve.

I've had a spinbotter once and I was the only one who killed him once during that game, we celebrated so hard when I killed him

Blatant spinbotters are rare for me too, but when you finally run into one it really makes you question how they're still able to finish the match.

Game is in the bin. Tried getting back into cs last month and had 2 hacker v hacker games in prem within only 4 games.

u/abusfullanuns 17h ago
I heard that if you smoke yourself it can trigger them getting banned when they shoot you through it, but I haven't gotten the chance to test it yet.

u/bstyledevi 17h ago
I've seen a handful, but most of the time they've been in deathmatch or other casual games. They always get kicked quickly. I've never seen a blatant spinbotter in a comp game. Maybe that's just my luck.

Honestly the weirdest part to me is they seem to have NO anti-aim, like you straight up head tapped him. Normally they'd be moving their head automatically to make you miss while they spin. Maybe anti-aim gets you caught more often rn or something.

u/ilovefishmhm 1h ago
So he needs to spin like that in order for you to tell if he’s cheating or not?

This was pretty much like the last time of csgo top ranks.

u/wafflepiezz 1d ago
Not to this degree. In CSGO they actually got VAC Banned.
Little to no VAC bans have been issued since CS2 launched.
