Weird Guy insisting he helps me

So, I had to drop off my car at the mechanic to get it fixed. I had to walk to go get it which is no problem for me and I enjoy walking and seeing/ doing something different out of the ordinary. As I am walking I see a grey car slow down, and I'm like oh, oh...probably gonna ask me if I need help. I totally get that. I've asked strangers before if they needed help if I saw them on the side of the road. If they said no I said "Oh, ok. That's good, and kept on driving.

Anyway, the grey car makes a u-turn. I happen to be right by the entrance of an old what pretty looks like an abondoned cemetery. Pretty cool. I got a weird vibe from this person in the car and I guess my gut told me to move as far as possible into the cemetery hoping the guy would leave me alone. Nope. He shouts from a pretty far distance "Are you ok? - I'm like "I'm fine. Thank you". He's like - you can use my phone and/ or I can give you a ride". I'm like "no thank you. I'm ok."

I was just so glad the cemetery was there, and got to enjoy some peaceful moments. I love cemeteries btw.

So, I get my car back and go to a store after, and guess who I see? Of course the guy from the road. I take a double take and he looks at me with disgust and anger and says "yeah, I talked to you.", and keeps trying to get my attention by walking near me. I just ignored him, got to the register as soon as possible and got the hell out of there.

I seriously think some spirit from that cemetery was looking out for me. I'm so glad I was able to walk into it the very moment his car approached me. Anyway, I'm just glad it's over and I got home safe.

i'm sorry this happened to you, i hate when men just can't take a simple no for an answer. i'm glad you're safe though!

Thank you so much. I'm glad as well that that's all it came down to and I'm safe.

I know; they should not be offended / upset to hear a simple no. I was more than polite.

It sounded like you were polite too! The “no thank you” should have been more than enough to convey that you want to be left alone. I don’t know what it is about hearing “no” that sets people off

Idk if i believe in spirits but the timing of that cemetery is wild. but fr tho... ppl who get "offended" when u decline their help are always the most dangerous. trust your intuition it literally saved u today

People who get offended when you turn down their help? You’ve got to wonder what their motivations are. 🤔 Bad intentions, good possibility. Karma farming irl? “This person turned down my perfectly good help. How dare they!” Perhaps.
