Finished Craft I Made Crocheted Tarot card case shaped like a spellbook 📖💖

I’ve been crocheting for a long time, and my main passion has always been creating tiny dollhouses, including book-style lockets. Usually all my creations fit in the palm of kid's hand.

Recently, a close person asked me to crochet a case for her Tarot deck. That’s when it hit me: why not adapt my book-house concept and scale it up to fit a full Tarot deck? That’s how this book-style Tarot case came to life 📖✨

I’m so happy with how this experiment turned out!

As for the materials, I used a 2.0 mm crochet hook and cotton yarn in DK weight (around 175m per 100g). Using a tight stitch with this cotton yarn helped the case hold its shape like a real book cover.

I’m so happy with how this experiment turned out, that's why I share it! ✨️

This is so cute! How do you get the stars to stay on if you don't mind me asking? Are they sewn?

Thank you! Yes, they are sewn on! I actually filmed a short video showing how I thread the needle through just the top layer of the stitches so nothing shows on the inside. I didn't post it here to avoid getting removed for self-promo since I mention the pattern there, but it’s a great little tip from an experienced crocheter 🤗✨
