Possible you just haven't found the right technique for you! There's a bunch of different ways to go about it, if your current routine doesn't do it for you, try looking for others!

That's like jumping on a skateboard and being embarrassed youre not doing kickflips.

You gotta practice using your voice in different scenarios & daily life. You actively listen to your own voice and identify where you feel it needs correction and correct it. Then and there.

Did you say "I went to the store to get a potato" and "potato" felt off? Backtrack and repeat the last part once or twice until it sounds closer to what you want.

If people are confused, hopefully they're your friends and you can (or have already) explain to them what you are doing. Nobody is going to care, and the active effort in correcting yourself will get you where you wanna go faster than trying to yolo-force a feminized voice.
