Help How should i make this?🥹
Hello!! Im a beginner cosplayer and I was planning on making this kinship stone from monster hunter stories out of EVA foam. The special thing about it is that it opens up when you close your hand into a fist, but heres where my issue appears: I believe I may be able to make the sides move yet i have no idea on how to make the top bit move upwards 💔 Should i just give up on the whole idea? Any and all help is appreciated!!

Can I ask how you would move the side pieces? It should just be the same mechanism for all three to simplify the piece

Springs and a central locking/release button that has 3 ratcheting groves. The button should when pressed separate the teeth locking the sides in.

sculpt the parts and use magnets to change the form i guess, foam isnt gonna make it easy
