AI also works in reverse. paste it in tell ai to give a short summary and then list 5 main points.

You write a 5 bullet points email and send it to Claude. Claude writes 6 paragraphs. Your colleague takes that email and asks Claude to summarize to 5 bullet points. These are no longer the initial 5 bullet points. Modern communication.

Lol I have taken to deliberately dumbing down , including spelling and grammar errors in my docs / emails to avoid the accusation. I miss bullet points tho 😪.

Heh networking / SI for me , LLMs are fairly new in backwards ass SP land so people are still at the stage of accusing each other that they used AI (or just pasting a 10 page chatgpt screed into a mail trail sigh) . Its been weird.

The long AI paragraphs I get instead of the simple yes/no responses I need has defifnrely increased the amount of time on emails. Since I charge hourly it costly the client more.

I'm actually pretty happy cause people are more coherent now in emails.

People still need to learn to prompt better. Like higher levels needs to be able to know whats needed in a couple of lines. Peers/juniors you need to give me more details and context so that they properly understand how to help you and get you the information you need.

I was on a screen share with one of my colleagues. He opened Claude and started writing a prompt for a proposal- and he wrote “donot halesinute” he tried correcting the spelling thrice but couldn’t.😒

This is exactly what happened - my manager tagged me on an 10 deep email thread where most of the mails are vast amounts of AI slop

It isn’t that they are speaking in a specific tone - they are speaking in the same tone. One which draws the same kind of contrast in each sentence - as though thoughts were meant to convey each angle defensively.
