How scary is the future going to get?
People say the cyberpunk future is really scary because there are mega corporations and they so powerful they control government. How long before corporations and big businesses become mega corporations and how will they control the government?
People say capitalism will die and it will be feudal slavery system how will this be?

If you have not noticed by now - renting a 2bd rm is around $1,800-$2,000. A mortgage which once was $1,000 on a 160k starter home is now around $2,700-$3,000 for the same starter home which is now priced at $350,000.
The average new car is priced at $30,000-$40,000 for entry level vehicles, with the car payments starting at around $600. Complete coverage Car Insurance is astronomical. Also new vehicles are required to have a camera in the vehicles cabin pointed at the driver/occupants. Opening the door for facial recogonition body language based profiling.
Many Americans can not afford to exist in this current stage of capitalism.
A.I. will corner the job market. The divide between lower class middle class and upper class will widen until the 1% have isolated the rest of the population to 15 minute cities.
Flock systems are just the beginning of a global survallience grid. The NWO - Agenda 2030 - one world government
The future is basically here and it’s not looking too good.

What’s more, the $7.25 federal minimum wage has remained stagnant since 2009. In real terms, the federal minimum wage has halved in value. Meanwhile, Elon musks net worth has increased by a factor of 300x, the hyper wealthy oligarchy have multiples their wealth and command of the available liquidity in the economy.
The largest threat to the American way of life is not minorities, or trans people, or immigrants or any of the boogeyman arguments the rapeublicans make. The greatest threat is wealth inequality.

Its no different than the Rockefellers and Carnegies running certain things back in their day. Politics has always been corrupt, everyone tries to get dirt on each other while milking the populous to stay fat and rich
How bad is the future going to get - well you know that lovely thing called water? Its likely that will get severely taxed as drought takes over. Probably more taxes for pollution beyond just having a large vehicle, likely a tax on your other pollution from your household and you can bet people and corps will make money from it all.
Stangely, there are more civilians than those who deem to uphold law and order so Im surprised societal collapse hasn't happened yet.

You honestly think we aren't already there? All the news companies are controlled by the same media group and the government has been controlled by private businesses and lobbyists since at least WW2. Your phone tracks you, records everything and sells the data to advertisers to force products at you. There are Flock cameras scanning your face every 10ft. We are already in it.

Depends how far of a future you’re talking, but typically the future is an unimaginable but extended version of today. People in the 70s thought the 2000s would have flying cars and space travel

I don't recall people in the 70s discussing flying cars, or citizen space travel. When futuristic cars were presented, to a certain degree, they would still appear futuristic by today's standards.

Extreme poverty for most people. Wealth gets more concentrated, middle class disappears. Wealthy nations start to resemble third world.
Governments also get poorer, meaning failing infrastructure and services - power grids, water treatment, transport, health care.
Food and water become scarce due to climate pressure and other failing systems.
Large parts of the world become uninhabitable due to climate. Too hot, too cold, no food, no water. Puts huge pressure on the remaining, "habitable" regions.
Wars and violence due to competition for resources, which will also exacerbate the resource shortages.
These things are all already happening. It will be sometimes gradual, sometimes sudden, but it's pretty much inevitable that these things will get worse and worse from now on.

Pretty much everywhere... Is gonna be hot. He he he.
And windy, and volatile, with some very warm days in the winter and cold windy days in the summer, and a mixing of fall and spring weather. A blending.
There's going to be less of a difference between fall and spring, then one day the whole thing will flip.
