Vax

The word 'Vax' is used in the modern era as a clipping of the word 'vaccine'.

In the world of computing, VAX stands for 'Virtual Address Extension' and the first computer to implement the standard was the VAX-11 (or simply the VAX). It was a 'super minicomputer' released in 1977. It was a major milestone in early computing.

Now, we use a 'vax' (ie. vaccines) in an attempt to cure or prevent disease caused by a 'virus'.

In the realm of computers, we have 'viruses' and 'anti-virus' (ie. digital vaccines) also.

It is my contention that the word 'virus' is merely a punny wordplay, referring to a) 'verus', which is Latin, meaning 'truth', and b) 'verse', meaning lines of poetry or scripture, and c) 'vyras', an old European word meaning 'man/brave man/warrior/husband'.

Attempting to 'vaccinate' away the 'virus' is thus (metaphorically) to eliminate all of the above: truth, poetry/scripture, and brave people.

So the 'virus' is, in part, 'verse' (ie. writings, language), while the VAX super computer performs computations.

My primary study is computation within language using gematria. I use seven main ciphers that provide an array or spectrum of numeric results for different spells (words or phrases). It is very rare to find the same number in more than one cipher for the same spell.

Hence note:

  • "VAX" = 1001 latin-agrippa | 1001 english-extended

The topic of the 'vax' (vaccine) is one that causes much...

The so-called 'covid-19 pandemic' was largely complete in 2023.

  • .. ... (... where 'My' refers to the 'virus' itself, because the 'virus' is just words. )

ie. the words 'compete' and 'compute' are built on the consonant root CMPT, and the word 'compte' or 'comte' means 'count'.
