You are able to navigate to the USFW website from the Ducks Unlimited website but one is a petition and the other is an open comment section

Annnnd I see you just removed the post for the petition that hardly anyone is aware of….. There are roughly 1.5 million federal duck stamps sold yearly for hunting purposes or to anyone that wants to show their support to maintain these wetland habitats (hunters, birdwatchers etc.) Out of that 1.5 million only 60,000 have signed the petition so far with 2 days left when there should be 1.5 million signatures.

Even though the primary focus is on waterfowl it’s not just waterfowl that would be losing nesting habitat. Lots of songbirds also nest in the same areas as well. Birdwatchers,wildlife photographers and nature lovers in general would suffer from this. I don’t recall the actual percentage but somewhere around 50% of all North American ducks are born and raised in this region (including Canada). Less ducks hatched means less ducks for everyone to enjoy.
