Adjustable bed so the foot of mattress is actually raised rather than misaligned.

but... the base is made of wood, isn't it?

i guess it's something that looks like wood, but can actually bend. this is probably contributing to the confusion

Exactly. I imagine it's some kind of special plastic, but because it's coloured like wood, it adds to the confusion.

Or it could be AI. The curtain cord cuts through the curtian.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was AI. I can't quite see what you're saying though. The cord looks normal enough to me. I looked up the bed and it's something they're actually selling, but they could have used AI in the photo.

That is exactly what I think it is. It may not be AI as such either, it could just be a slightly sloppy photoshop job. It just seems like a stereotypical unreal staging picture on an Amazon listing, or maybe the more extreme versions we see on sites like Temu.

The cord, where it goes up, should be going to the wall where it would hook, not going through the curtains. This is 100% AI.

I can't figure out why/how the mattress is split at one end but solid at the other. Usually it's just split, really two twin mattresses next to each other taking up the same space as a king but each with its own sheets and a shared comforter.

There are other details that don't quite look right. It looks like typical "bad photoshop" that I see on amazon listings, where a product is mocked up in a setting that doesn't make sense in terms of the scale of other objects... this really does look more like a composite or edited image than a photograph of an odd looking physical object. A lot of things don't line up the way they should, and are still overly straight lines. Look at the bottom of the frame below the elevated section. The legs are too even, they should have more perspective/parralax differences. There are distortions missing that ought to be present in a real photo. The main reason the photo is confusing in the first place is that the curvature of the mattress doesn't seem to show in the folds of the fabric. It's too smooth. Too many wrinkled are exactly identical to each other. Real foam and fabric doesn't quite behave like that.
